Home Forever

We are creating a cultural shift in care, where caregivers, loved ones, and organizations work together to ensure that people with dementia remain fully included in society. Freedom, equality, and humanity form the foundation.

Our integrated approach, Home Forever, consists of three initiatives to bring about this change:

01.
1. From nursing home to simply home

We support care organizations in transitioning from a medically oriented, institutional environment to a social living environment. Everyday life, freedom, and connection take center stage, with care that supports life rather than leads it.

02.
2. A humane protected living environment

For those for whom full freedom is not feasible, we design a dignified solution. We assemble an expert group primarily made up of people with dementia and their loved ones. In addition, we involve professionals from various backgrounds, including Hilde Verbeek (Maastricht University and Academic Collaborative Centre for Elderly Care Limburg), Francien van de Ven (Director, Zorggroep Grootenhout), and Iris Hendriks (Researcher, Ben Sajet Center).

03.
3. A neighborhood inclusive for all

We focus on making communities inclusive, where people with dementia are fully integrated. This allows people to live at home longer and, above all, more comfortably.

Our ambition? By 2030, at least 99% of people with dementia in the Netherlands will be living in freedom.
